NTPC Limited received 9th PSU IT Award under organisation category on 16.02.2023 at New Delhi. This award has been given to NTPC under Digital PSU Category for its Digital Transformation Strategy to be a Digital Enterprise. Shri Murli Dhar Mishra, AGM(IT), Shri Akshaya Patel AGM(IT) and Shri Ajay Pathak, AGM(IT) were present during the Award Ceremony.

Under the Digital Transformation drive, NTPC implemented Project PRADIP and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) in Commercial Billing Process was specifically selected by the Jury.

The Project PRADIP is implemented in NTPC across all locations for Digital transformation. It has automated various functions of NTPC and played major role in Unified Shared Service Concept across NTPC for faster procurement & payment processing activity to maximize efficiency of Human Resources and achieve synergies in Operation.
Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is implemented in Commercial Billing Process which involves reading Regional Energy Account (REA) documents published in region wise Government Portals, processing the data and using the same for generation of Commercial bills. The whole process is automated in SAP apart from the initial process of reading data from the REA documents and processing them suitably for ingestion in SAP billing, in short REA document processing.This solution provided intangible benefits by automating manual processes resulting into reduction of manual effort and possibilities of human error since this process requires very high level of precision.
