NTPC Talaipalli welcomed Shri Dillip Kumar Patel, Director-HR, on April 9, 2023. Starting with the welcome by Shri Somes Bandyopadhyay, BUH, NTPC Talaipalli, he headed towards the mining area. During the visit, he first monitored the Wharf Wall area, that fosters the flagship MGR (Merry-go Round) project of Talaipalli Coal Mining Project. He also saw the mining activities being executed at West Pit, and closely witnessed the process of surface mining.

The Director HR, after the mine visit, lead an insightful forum and interacted with the young and dynamic trainees post at NTPC Talaipalli. In the interaction, he emphasised on how NTPC offers a very employee friendly environment and is one of the best companies to work for. He complimented the positive attitude that the ETs and DTs showcased during the interaction.

Shri D.K Patel was especially impressed by the infrastructure of the up-and-coming Kosal Vihar Township, laden with variety of facilities. The visit of Director HR was casted in stone, quite literally, on his visit, he also inaugurated the Bal Bhawan at Kosal Vihar – Talaipalli Township. Bal Bhawan is the same place where NTPC Talaipalli will soon host the GEM program for the first time.

The day ended with a meeting with all the head of departments where he took note of all the developments pertaining to the Talaipalli Coal Mining Project. Here is where team Talaipalli got to listen to the valuable guidance and insights of Director HR. Shri D.K Patel emphasised on preparing for future challenges and shared some very insightful suggestions on various aspects of the project.
