In a significant step towards empowering domestic workers, Udita Ladies Club (ULC) hosted a Financial Education Programme at Jhanwi Bhawan on November 25, 2023.

The programme, organized by ULC’s Welfare Committee under the leadership of Smt. Niva Panda, President ULC. It aims to foster financial independence and literacy among domestic workers.

The programme was designed specifically for 32 domestic workers, who are also part of ULC’s Adult Education Centre.

This educational initiative focused on imparting practical financial knowledge, including guidance on opening bank accounts, understanding fixed deposits, and navigating the essentials of internet banking.

Smt. Smriti Sinha, SBI Bank Manager at Khajuria Branch led the educational session.

In addition to the educational benefits, woollen blankets were distributed amongst domestic workers, symbolizing ULC’s care and appreciation for their hard work and dedication.

The presence and support of ULC members further underscored the club’s commitment to the women welfare & empowerment.
