Shri Ajay Sharma, Chief General Manager, a 1989 batch graduate in B. Sc Mechanical Engineering from the prestigious Aligarh Muslim University and 1989 batch Executive Trainee, took charge as the new Head of Project (Kahalgaon) on 7 February 2024.

The "Handing Over - Taking Over" ceremony at the BUH Secretariat witnessed Shri Narayana Prakash Shahar transferring the BUH charge to Shri Sharma in the presence of all General Managers.

With an impressive career spanning over 34 years at NTPC, Shri Sharma has garnered extensive experience in the Power Sector, having worked in Dadri Thermal and EOC Corporate Centre (Operational Services) in various capacities.

His journey at NTPC Kahalgaon began in September 2023 when he assumed the role of GM (O&M), later earning a well-deserved promotion to Chief General Manager and redesignation as Head of Project.

In his address, Shri Sharma expressed his commitment to steering NTPC Kahalgaon to newer heights, promising to propel the project towards greater success under his leadership.
