On 12 June 2024, Smt. Kiran Singh, President of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti, along with senior members Smt. Sunitha Jaikumar, Smt. Meenakshi Srivastava, Smt. Chandana Kumari, Smt. C. Padmaja, President, Arpita Mahila Samiti and Smt. Anupama Srivastava, GS, Sanyukta Mahila Samiti visited Disha Kendra at Sangwari Mahila Samiti premises. The visit was focused on reviewing the ongoing basic stitching and embroidery training program conducted for women from project-affected villages under CSR in collaboration with Sangwari Mahila Samiti.


The training program is aimed at empowering women from project affected villages with skills that can facilitate self-employment and enhance their livelihoods. Under this initiative, 02 no. s SHGs have been formed and have also been imparted training on brand building and marketing of products.


During the visit, Smt. Kiran Singh evaluated the participants' progress and encouraged them to cultivate their skills to achieve self-reliance. Additionally, sewing kits containing essential tools and materials were distributed to all the participants by Smt. Kiran Singh and senior members of Sanyukta Mahila Samiti. This initiative reflects the organization's commitment to fostering economic empowerment and self-reliance among women, ensuring they have the necessary resources to turn their newfound skills into sustainable livelihoods.


Shri Vijay Krishna Pandey, BUH, NTPC Sipat, Shri Srijit Kumar, GM (CPG-2), Shri Anil Shankar Sharan, GM (O&M), Smt. Sadhna Pandey, President, Sangwari Mahila Samiti and senior members of Sangwari Mahila Samiti, employees and committee members also graced the occassion.
