NTPC Korba has embarked on a significant phase of its infrastructure development project by commencing the demolition of its old quarters, which have been in use for over 40 years. The demolition will be carried out in phases, marking the beginning of a major modernization effort within the facility.
The project was ceremonially inaugurated with a Vishwakarma Puja, a traditional ritual performed to seek blessings for the successful execution of the demolition process. This auspicious ceremony underscores NTPC Korba’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and effective transition as the organization upgrades its facilities.
Shri Rajeev Khanna, BUH Korba, symbolically initiated demolition by striking the building with a hammer.
All the general managers and senior officials of NTPC Korba attended the event. They were joined by agency workers involved in the project, all present to mark this pivotal moment in the facility’s development.
The phased demolition process aims to replace the ageing quarters with modern infrastructure that will enhance operational efficiency and support the long-term growth of NTPC Korba. The initiative is a testament to NTPC's dedication to maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and comfort for its workforce.
