On 25th August 2024, Tanvi Sangam, the ladies' club at NTPC Kaniha celebrated the festival of Teej with vibrant cultural programs and community spirit.

Smt. Rupali Sinha, President of Vasudha Mahila Mandal (ER-II) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the program. The program started with a welcoming and lamp lighting by Smt. Rupali Sinha along with Smt. Renu Sehgal, President, Tanvi Sangam Ladies Club, and other senior members.

A highlight of the celebration was the Various competitions including the “Mrs. Teej” where participants showcased their grace and their talents on stage. The event not only honored the rich traditions of Teej but also fostered unity and togetherness among the members, creating cherished memories of cultural pride and joy.

Hariyali Teej is the auspicious festival, also known as Shravana Teej, is dedicated to Goddess Parvati and her union with Lord Shiva. On this day, Lord Shiva is believed to have accepted Parvati as his consort.

Utilizing the visit of President, Vasudha Mahila Mandal (ER-II), various welfare activities like felicitation of Odisha state-level Woman Shooter Ms Dibyasha with shooting accessories and donation of a Sanitary Pad Vending Machine to Kalpataru Maa Bhairavi High School, Bijigol were also organized during the daytime.
