Ganesh Chaturthi is being celebrated to commemorate the birthday of Lord Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. It is to be believed that Lord Ganesh brings order in this universe and worship him before embarking on a new endeavor, intellectual journey, or business enterprise.

NTPC Jhanor has also installed the Idol of Ganeshjee in Township Temple area on 07.09.2024 for worship of the devotees of Township. The festival will last for 5 days and idol will be immersed on 11.09.2024 in the Holy River of Narmada. Shri Ajay Singhal, HOP (J), Shri Sudhir Kinage, AGM (TS), Ms. Vijaya Lakshmi Muralidharan, HOHR, Other HODs and all other employees were present with Family members for Puja of Ganeshjee on 07.09.2024. 

Puja Committee has also organized various games for Employees, Spouse and Children of the Township to make the festival more colourful.
