As part of the welfare wing "Samarapan" of Jagriti Mahila Mandal, NTPC Auraiya held the closing ceremony of computer training program for girls on October 18, 2024, at the Employee Development Center. On this occasion, Smt. Sanghamitra Parida, the President of the Jagriti Mahila Mandal, served as the chief guest, joined by other committee members who contributed to the event's significance.

At the event, Dr. S. Jhansi, GAIL India ltd. Pata was invited to deliver a lecture on anemia, focusing on the health of the students. She elaborated on the symptoms of anemia, preventive measures, hygiene, nutritious diet, and other important health-related information.

The students who participated in the computer training shared their experiences during the event, highlighting that the class equipped them with a thorough understanding of digital literacy and various facets of computing. The main objective of this program was to empower women and young girls technically and to familiarise them with modern technologies.

The computer training program was completely free of charge and took place from July 2, 2024, to October 2, 2024. Instructor Mr. Abhishek dedicated three months to training the students in basic computer skills, covering Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Gmail, Hindi/English typing, and other essential functions.

In her address, the chief guest, Smt. Sanghamitra Parida, remarked, "The initiatives of the Jagriti Mahila Mandal represents a vital step toward societal development and empowerment. Such training is crucial not only for personal growth but also for the overall progress of our community."

At the end of the event, certificates and health-enhancing Arogyam kits were distributed to the students who successfully completed the computer training. The initiatives of the Jagriti Mahila Mandal is an inspiring effort to raise awareness in society and empower women toward self-sufficiency.

At the conclusion of the event, the President of the Jagriti Mahila Mandal expressed a commitment to organising more such programs in the future.
