Delhi Public School, NTPC Farakka proudly hosted the “Space on Wheels” Programme on January 30, 2025, in collaboration with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and VIBHA. This interactive event aimed to spark curiosity among students about space science and technology.

The Chief Guest, Shri Ramakanta Panda, HOP, NTPC Farakka and Pro Vice Chairman, DPS NTPC Farakka, commended the school for fostering a hands-on, engaging approach to science education. He encouraged everyone, not just students, to pursue scientific learning for personal growth. Other dignitaries of NTPC Farakka, Shri Alok Kumar Ranbir, HOHR & Ms. Debaleena Das, DGM (HR) were also present.

The coordinator Dr. Mayuri Dutt, emphasizing the importance of observation, inquiry, and continuous exploration. she highlighted the rapid advancements in technology and space exploration, inviting participants to visit Sriharikota for further exposure to space research.

A mobile science unit showcased satellite, rocket, and space station models, alongside multimedia presentations on India’s space missions like Chandrayaan, Mangalyaan, and Gaganyaan. Students built simple rocket models and explored celestial movements, guided by science educators.

Attendees from various schools in Farakka engaged enthusiastically, asking questions and expressing newfound aspirations in space science. The event inspired many to envision future careers in this field. Through “Space on Wheels,” space became accessible, igniting imaginations and broadening horizons.
