NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Ltd signed Land Lease and MSW Agreements with Meerut Nagar Nigam for processing 900 TPD of MSW to Green Charcoal. The project will support Swacch Bharat Mission and help reduce CO2 emissions by approx. 2.7 lakh tonnes annually. The technology for the plant is expected to be indigenously developed supporting Atma Nirbhar Bharat Abhiyan. The Agreements were exchanged between Shri Amit Pal, Municipal Commissioner, Meerut and Shri Amit Kumar Kulshreshtha, GM (WTE-NVVN) in the presence of Shri Harikant Ahluwalia, Mayor of Meerut.
