PMI conducted a three-day Certification Programme on CCUS Technologies from 17th-19th February in association with Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous institution under DST, Govt. of India. This programme was attended by 32 participants at PMI Noida.

During the inaugural session, Smt Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM (Strategic HR & Talent Management) highlighted the critical role of skill enhancement and strategic knowledge sharing to lead India’s transition.

The inaugural session was also graced by Shri Subrata Sarkar, GM (NETRA) who outlined the various initiatives taken by NTPC and NETRA in domain of CCUS Technologies. Dr Vikram Vishal, (Prof IIT Bombay) was also present during inaugural session and gave an excellent overview of the various CCUS Technologies in India.

The speakers included Dr R. R. Sonde (IIT Delhi), Prof Rajnish Kumar (IIT Madras), Prof Sebastian C. Peter (JNCASR, Bengaluru), Dr Neelima Alam (DST) and Shri Ajay Phatak. Key topics covered include - Carbon Sequestration, Building CCUS-Ready Infrastructure, Carbon Pricing, Carbon Utilization, Low Carbon Transition Finance, Policy on Carbon Transition and Carbon Capture.
