NTPC reinforced its sustainability leadership at the CII–IGBC GreenTech Summit 2025, held in New Delhi on 2nd May, where Shri T K Bandyopadhyay, ED (Sustainability, Environment & Ash), addressed the plenary session on “Greening the Value Chain: India’s Leadership and Global Impact”.
During his address, Shri Bandyopadhyay emphasized NTPC’s pioneering efforts in decarbonisation through its agressive Renewable push and Sustainability focus including Net Zero Township Framework, which aims to achieve Net Zero Energy, Water, and Waste across its offices and townships. He remarked:
“NTPC is deeply mindful of its responsibility in India’s Net Zero journey. Energy saved is emission saved. Our townships are becoming live demonstrations of energy and resource-efficient living.”
NTPC’s partnership with IGBC for Net Zero Certifications and its successful case studies at Kudgi, NETRA and RGPPL were highlighted as scalable models for sustainable public infrastructure.
The summit brought together industry leaders and sustainability experts to discuss advancements in green technologies and sustainable practices. NTPC’s participation underscores its commitment to leading India’s transition to a sustainable and integrated energy future.
