NETRA was honored with the “Net Zero Energy (Operation)” award by the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) at the Green Building Congress 2024 on 14th November in Bengaluru. The award was presented by the Chairman of IGBC and the Chairman of the World Green Building Council (WGBC) to Shri Subrata Sarkar, GM and Shri Ravi Kumar, DGM who accepted it on NETRA’s behalf.

This recognition was awarded for NETRA’s successful deployment of its Microgrid facility, featuring a 3.3 MW/4 MWp solar PV installation coupled with a 1 MW/1 MWhr lithium-ion (1C) battery energy storage system (BESS). This Microgrid can operate in both on-grid and off-grid modes, reducing reliance on diesel generators and enhancing resilience within the power distribution network. NETRA’s innovative setup significantly reduces its carbon footprint and serves as a model for Microgrid implementation.
