NTPC Mouda came alive with colors, festivity, and cultural vibrance as it hosted Basant Mela 2025, organized by Samruddhi Mahila Samiti. The Mela was inaugurated by Shri Kamlesh Soni, RED (WR-1), and Smt. Anu Soni, President, Sakhi Mahila Samiti, in the esteemed presence of Shri Himmat Singh Chauhan, Head of Project, All GMs, officials, and community members.
The inaugural ceremony commenced with a Puja at the Mandir, followed by the lighting of the lamp, a cake-cutting ceremony, and the release of balloons, symbolizing joy and prosperity. The dignitaries then visited the central theme exhibition, commercial and food stalls, and participated in the felicitation of guests. A special highlight of the event was the distribution of school kits to GEM students, reinforcing NTPC’s commitment to education and social welfare.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Kamlesh Soni, RED (WR-1), emphasized the importance of such events in fostering unity and providing a platform for local vendors to grow and interact with the NTPC Mouda community. The evening culminated in a cultural program, showcasing the rich heritage and talents of the participants.
The Basant Mela is an annual event, that brings together employees, families, and local entrepreneurs, creating a vibrant marketplace and a spirit of togetherness. This year, the Mela is scheduled for 8th and 9th February 2025, offering two days of festivities, cultural performances, and business opportunities.
The grand occasion was graced by Shri Himmat Singh Chauhan, Head of Project, GM (O&M), GM (Maintenance & FM), GM (COE), Head of HR, all sectional heads, members of Samruddhi Mahila Samiti, representatives of Union & Association, representatives of Welfare Clubs, employees, and their families.
