The GEM Winter Workshop, a five-day non-residential program, concluded on 8th February 2025 at NTPC Solapur. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and the NTPC Geet, marking the culmination of a transformative journey for 43 young girls from nearby villages. This workshop, a follow-up to GEM-2024, aimed to empower participants through education, skill development, and confidence-building activities.
A key highlight was the Kabaddi tournament, with the final match held during the closing ceremony. Shri Tapan Kumar Bandyopadhyay, CGM, NTPC Solapur, applauded the participants' performances and trophies, medals and mementos were distributed in recognition of their efforts. The event was attended by members of Srijana Mahila Mandal and NTPC officials, reinforcing NTPC's commitment to women’s empowerment and holistic development.
The workshop also featured sessions on public speaking and effective communication, equipping participants with essential life skills to navigate future challenges with confidence and resilience. Through this initiative, NTPC Solapur continues to foster opportunities for young girls, preparing them for a brighter future.
