Nabhya Bhardwaj, an eighth-grade student of "Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan's NTPC Vidya Mandir", has brought laurels to the nation by securing the prestigious Second Rank globally in the National Astronomy Challenge (NAC) with an outstanding score of 99.6%. Nabhya is the son of Mr. Shailendra Bhardwaj, Deputy General Manager (P&S and FES) at NTPC Mouda, and Mrs. Anjali Bhardwaj, a teacher at Bhavans NTPC Vidya Mandir School.
Recognizing his exceptional achievement, NAC has invited Nabhya to an exclusive award ceremony at T-Hub in Hyderabad in the last week of June 2025. As part of this honor, he will embark on an enriching space expedition, visiting the ISRO Remote Sensing Facility and the R&D center of a leading space startup. Adding to the excitement, he will also participate in "Cosmic Confluence," a highly anticipated session where young achievers will interact with esteemed scientists and experts in the field of space and astronomy.
Beyond his NAC success, Nabhya has an impressive track record in academic excellence. He secured the 10th All India Merit Rank in the 18th National Talent Search Test (NTSE) and secured the First Rank with Gold Medals in multiple SOF Olympiads, including the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO), International English Olympiad (IEO), and National Science Olympiad (NSO). He further excelled in the Silver zone Olympiads, achieving top ranks in STEM Innovation, ITHO, and IOM.
