The SAMARTH QA&I Module for new entrants in FQA, CQA and RIO functions was organised from 9th to 11th April at SRHQ, Secunderabad, jointly by PMI and CQ&I. A total of 14 participants from various NTPC projects took part in the programme.

The inaugural session was graced by the presence of Shri Ajay Sharma, ED (Engineering), Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, ED (Strategic HR & Talent Management) and Shri B C Roy, GM (QA&I) who joined virtually. Senior officials from PMI, Engineering and QA&I were also present during the session.

The three-day classroom training programme was conducted by experienced faculty from CQA and covered various aspects of NTPC’s QA&I functions. Key topics included Quality System in NTPC, Standardised QA&I Procedures, SG System Familiarisation, Basic Metallurgy, Welding, FQA Functions, Sub-vendor Approval Process, Civil System Familiarisation and Inspection of Electrical & Mechanical Items along with digitisation and inspection portals.

To evaluate learning outcomes participants undertook a pre-test at the beginning and a post-test upon completion of the module.
