Prof Govindan Rangarajan, Director, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, visited NETRA on 12th April. He was welcomed by Shri Shaswattam, ED (NETRA), who briefed him on the key focus areas of NETRA’s R&D efforts.

A detailed presentation was made on ongoing and upcoming projects in the domains of Carbon Capture, Utilisation & Storage (CCUS), Green Hydrogen, Energy Storage and Ash Technologies. Prof Rangarajan also visited NETRA’s state-of-the-art laboratories and pilot plants where he interacted with the scientists and witnessed the cutting-edge research and infrastructure first-hand.

During the visit possible areas of mutual collaboration were discussed and Prof Rangarajan appreciated NETRA’s initiatives in advancing NTPC’s energy transition journey. The visit concluded with Prof Rangarajan planting a sapling in the NETRA premises.
