PMI organized a three-day training programme titled- Certification Programme on Flexibilization of Coal Plants from 21st - 23rd April 2025 in collaboration with the OS Department. The programme was attended by 30+ participants from various stations of NTPC.

The programme curriculum has been designed by PMI in consultation with OS in line with present and upcoming challenges for NTPC Stations. The programme covered topics such as enhancing operational flexibility in thermal power plants, integrating renewable energy effectively with conventional generation, understanding the impact of cycling on asset longevity, advancing control and instrumentation systems and leveraging data-driven decision-making to strengthen grid stability. The program included six eminent speakers mainly from OS.
This programme underscores NTPC’s strategic vision in transforming conventional assets to meet the evolving demands of a flexible power generation system. The programme concluded with a rigorous assessment, followed by the distribution of certificates to successful participants.
