The US-India Collaborative for “Smart Distribution System wIth Storage” (UI-ASSIST) is a consortium under the Joint Clean Energy Research & Development Centre (JCERDC). The research group consists of leading academic institutes, research organisations, power sector utilities and industry partners from India and the US.

NETRA’s Smart Microgrid Project (4 MWp solar PV, 1MW/MWhr of Battery Storage) is part of UI-ASSIST program. Successful completion and novel configuration of this project was discussed and appreciated in UI-ASSIST event organised by Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi on 22nd April.

The event was graced by eminent experts from the energy sector who recognised NETRA's efforts in demonstrating a scalable and replicable model for clean energy transition, including Prof S.C. Srivastava (IIT Kanpur), Prof Ankush Sharma (IIT Kanpur) , Prof A.R. Abhyankar (IIT Delhi ), Dr A.K. Tripathi, Former Director General (CPRI), Shri S.K. Soonee, Former CEO ( POSOCO) and Shri Arun Kumar Mishra, Director, (UPSLDC). Shri Ravi Kumar (DGM) & Shri Ankit Gupta (Senior Manager) represented NETRA-NTPC.
