The Heads of C&I Meet, organised by Corporate Operation Services C&I of NTPC Nava Raipur, was held at PMI Noida from 20th to 22nd November. The event saw participation from C&I Heads and members of various coal, hydro and gas stations, all united under the theme "Aspire Achieve Sustain."
In his inaugural address via virtual conference, Shri A.K. Manohar, ED (OS), emphasised the importance of continuous excellence and the reliability of C&I systems. He highlighted the critical role of the C&I team in plant operations and urged a strong focus on achieving zero forced outages.
The inauguration of the meet was cochaired by Shri Chandramouli Kasina, CGM (COS-C&I) and Ms Rachana Singh Bhal, CGM (Strategic HR & Talent Management), who encouraged participants to leverage their competencies through training and knowledge sharing. They also stressed the need for improving control system performance.
Over the three days, attendees delved into various crucial aspects of C&I, including reliability improvement, cyber security, environment monitoring, material management, procurement processes, competency development, HMI upgrades, and renovation & modernisation. An action plan to enhance C&I performance was also deliberated.
The event featured technical presentations from vendors such as Vertiv, Forbes Marshall, Baker Hughes, SIEMENS, Masibus, Honeywell, HACH, and LRS Services, adding significant value to the discussions.
The meet featured the presentation of innovation and best performer awards across various categories. Notably, Vindhyachal Unit#10 received special recognition for maintaining an outage-free status (on C&I account) for over 12 years.
